I support the Campaign for Open Government's call on the BC Liberal government to strengthen Freedom of Information by implementing the recommendation from the 2004 Special Committee of the Legislature on FOI, ensuring there is adequate funding to reply to all FOI requests and reviews in a timely manner, and to reform the “culture of denial” in Victoria that leads to political interference and delays towards FOI requests deemed “sensitive.”
